I am way behind on just about everything, owe lots of comments and responses, but the last twenty-four hours are the first time in about a week I've even felt human. Exhaustion does not become me. And I hate the time change. Entwife says she will send note next year instructing that I need to get my naps and more sleep because she's never seen me come back from a con so absolutely useless. And scads of student papers to read/comment on in the next few days. I hope next weekend and after to start catching up--if I've missed anything major, I am sorry. Too much stress (some positive, some negative) in too many areas.

too darned bussy still!!

Argh, I leave for one week, and they shove three weeks' worth of work at me while I'm gone. Curses. Very frustrating. Should have some time to play this weekend though. One weird thing: Howard Stern leading crusade against George Bush! First time I've approved of Howard...evah! Quick joke: Entwife and I were discussing the whole way music is marketed categorized, what happens when the music of her adolescence becomes classic rock (she is 40, I am 48)--she pointed out that while it might not take off as a marketing category, "fogeyrock" had some possibilities. Blah hah hah! I lurve it.

Not flocked, so not gonna post any details, because this is just blatant appeal for snoogles and sympathy!

When you're the First Person Evah to do Something Different, albeit something the Big Boss says in public many times he rillyrillyrilly wants done, it's hard. Nobody wants to do anything different than what they've done for years. We want a mace with a heavy box on the end so we can hit people over the head repeatedly, explaining "this is what thinking outside the box is all about. do you get it now?"

Because it's hard when you do what The Powers That Be *say* they want, but all the lower level bshit hits you in the face and punishes you.

so after rilly hard day at work yesterday, we came home, and i thought i'd go online for a little fun/relaxation/reminder that there is a world outside work, but connection was so....slow....(had trouble accessing email as well as lj so cannot just blame lj) that it took like half an hour to access email and lj and read a couple of emails and post maybe one response and could not even change my default icon (with so many lovely icons and yet a brain that does not always remember it in the heat of posting, i'm just giving them all weekly more or less turns.

one way or another some of the shit at work will be settled by the end of this week *hopes hopes hopes*

may not be around much next day or two given workload but thinking of you all!

*smooches*
